She was predeceased by: her husband Steve; and her parents, George Benjamin Howells and Helen Young Forney. She is survived by: her children, Phil Brown (Phil) of Sønderborg, Matt Brown (Xochitl Orozco) of Bisbee, AZ and Becky Spanos (Jason Spanos) of Dubai, UAE; her grandchildren, Nace, Daphne, Christopher, Linnea, Ada, Alex and Ingvar; and her sisters, Martha Howells of Hanover, PA and Suzanne McDaniel of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, former students, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gillooly Funeral Home (126 Walpole St, Norwood, MA 02062). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
