With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Helen Mary Thornton of Norwood, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband John Thornton; her sister Maureen Higgins; and her parents, James Gavaghan and Barbara Gavaghan (Flaherty). She is survived by: her children, John E. Thornton (Kate) of Westwood and Judith A. Lydon (Paul) of Norwood; her siblings, Nancy Archer of Dedham, Lena O'Carroll of Ireland and Patrick Gavaghan of England; and her grandchildren, Kerry, Joseph, Katie and Erin.
