With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joy Christensen of Norwood, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter James and Lillian Mae Milligan (Adams); her husband Bill; her daughter Amy Beth; and her brother Walter James Milligan, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, David Christensen (Phoebe) of Attleboro and Susan Crowe (Paul) of Evington, Virginia; her grandchildren, DJ (Virginia), Drew (Destiny), Daniel (Hannah), Timothy (Cassy), Laura and Julie; her great grandchildren, Kyle, Maya and Wallace; and her grandson Theodore Christensen (Sandy).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the United Church of Norwood (595 Washington St, Norwood, MA 02062).
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to United Church of Norwood.
