It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veronica Shannon of Norwood, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bernard and Mary Helen Pitts (Wilson); her son Michael; her husband Bertrand; her brothers, Joseph Pitts (Margaret) and Gerald Pitts (Beverly); and her sister-in-law Joanne Pitts.
She is survived by: her brother Albert Pitts of Milford; her children, Diane Sheehan (Gary) of Norwood, Barry (Jacqueline) of Wrentham, Donna Goguen (Daniel) of San Antonio, TX, Barbara Zakrzewski (Theodore) of West Arlington, VT, Kathleen of Norwood, Robert (Jennifer) of Attleboro, Edward of Essex Junction, VT and James (Rebecca) of Norwood; her grandchildren, Michael Sheehan, Patricia Brown (William), Kenneth Sheehan (Lauren), Eric Rossignol (Tammy), David Goguen (Kimberly), Danielle Younkin (Josh), Diane Goguen, William Zakrzewski (Molly), Alexandra Cohn (Ben), Daniel Zakrzewski, Elizabeth Zakrzewski (Travis Stevens), Jonathan, Michael Thornhill, Kristen O'Connor (Daniel), Kaitlyn, Makayla Shannon, Patrick, Owen, Jack Shannon, Ryan and Matthew O'Connell; and her great grandchildren, Beatrix Brown, Lucy Sheehan, Jason, Ashley Rossignol, MacKenzie Goguen, Maxwell Younkin, Sloane Zakrzewski, Patrick, Veronica Cohn, Baylie, Logan and Finn Thornhill.
