With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Francis Shield of Norwood, Massachusetts, born in Medford, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 13, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary A. Shield (Gaffney) and William J. Shield; his wife Margaret "Peg" (Dempsey); and his brother Jack. He is survived by: his children, Denis W. Shield (Denise) of Walpole, David F. Shield of Mansfield and Arleen M. Shield of Berlin, CT; his grandchildren, Patrick, Paul, Robert, Christopher, Timothy, Molly, William, Emma and Hunter; his great grandchild Beau; and his siblings, Paul, Kenneth, George, Philip and Marie (Mallat). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
