He was predeceased by: his grandson Anthony J. Reardon; and his son-in-law Walter A. Reardon. He is survived by: his wife Madelene Barnes (Carpenter) of Orange; his children, Donald Barnes (Alita) of Orange, Sharon Reardon of Sutton, Glenn Barnes (Janey) of Raleigh, NC, Lynn Chase (Richard) of Orange, Pam Dickson (Garth) of Barre and Susan Obrien (Patrick) of Petersham; his grandchildren, Keith Reardon (Elaine), Catherine Labelle (Rob), Peter Barnes (Mary Claire), Ethan Dickson (Colleen), Gregory Barnes, Kyla Spallone (Aaron), Hillary Chase, Haley Barnes (Matthew), Colin Obrien (Emma), Corinne Chase (Henry), Joslyn Obrien and Mikell Barnes; his great grandchildren, Trent Labelle, Liliana Reardon, Thomas Reardon and June Reardon; and his siblings, Nancy J. Blackmer of North Orange, Alice Woessner of Athol, Leroy Barnes of Rome, NY, Harriet Kring of Milton, WA and Kenneth Barnes of Columbia, MD. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
