It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcia E. (Phelps) Legassey (Orange, Massachusetts), born in Athol, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Phelps and Helen Phelps (Cone); her stepdaughter Melanie Jillson; and her siblings, Clement Phelps, Marilyn Kimball and Beverly Woodward.
She is survived by: her husband Lionel G. Legassey of Athol; her children, Susan Bouchard (Donald) of Templeton, Ronald Gates (Lorraine "Lori") of Warwick and Rebecca Lambert (David) of Ohio; her stepchildren, Jane McDonald (John) of Westminster, Carol Sprague (Mark) of North Orange, Michael Legassey (Merri-Lee) of Athol, Margaret Bennington (Philip) of Athol, Marie LeBlanc (Joseph) of Athol, Monica Sprague (Elmer) of Caribou, Malisa Younger (Steven) of Athol, Marcia Dexter (Todd) of Warwick and Mae Beth Schuermand (Kenneth) of Pennsylvania; and her sister-in-law Barbara Phelps of Athol. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild; along with nephews, nieces and cousins.
