She was predeceased by: her spouse Waino R. Nurmi; her parents, Edward Laporte and Catherine Laporte; and her siblings, Ruth Saven and Edward Laporte.
She is survived by: her daughter Martha A.; and her grandsons, Patrick (Brooklyn) and Jacob (Baltimore, MD).
