He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Carey (Pratt) of Shutesbury; his sons, Robert Carey Jr. (Emily Young) of Shutebury and David Carey Sr. of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Haughey of Belchertown, Ashley Stone of Greenfield, Justin Carey (Emma Biggs) of Brighton, Julia Carey (Dean Blanchard) of Leverett, Jameson Carey of Nashville and David Carey Jr. of Georgia; his great grandchildren, Austin Haughey, Jacob Haughey and Josie Haughey; his siblings, Ricky Carey of Leverett, Karen Fairman of Orange, Jean Sweeney of Lake Pleasant and Kathy Boron (David) of Leverett; and his brother-in-law Bernal Coffin of Athol. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and cousins.
