He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Newton and Juanita Newton (Davis); his daughter Susan Peters; and his siblings, Guy Newton, Dale Dorow (Lutz), Linda Young and Lorraine Soucy.
He is survived by: his close friend Carole A. Burns (Hanshaw); his children, Steven Newton, David Newton (Bonnie), Judi Vitols (Kevin), Victor Masaitis, John Masaitis (Sherry), Deanna Melanson (Keith) and Deana Wright (Ronnie); his siblings, Midge Brasells and Louis Newton; and his former wife Gertrude Corser. He is also survived by many Grandchildren & Great- Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mack Family Funeral Homes Fiske-Murphy & Mack Chapel (110 New Athol Rd, Orange, MA 01364). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gethsemane Cemetery.
He received acclimations for his charity work for underprivileged children in the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia. All year he would load up a trailer full of clothing, shoes, and furniture to drive down and donate to help families in need.
