We bid farewell to Jonathan G. Mathis of Paxton, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 30, 2025 at the age of 68. Jonathan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Mathis and Barbara Mathis (Browns). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Freiberg Robertson of Paxton; his children, Julia Mathis of Northampton, MA and Daniel Mathis of Gaithersburg, MD.; his brother Rob Mathis (Sheila) of Charlottesville, VA; his stepdaughter Emily Robertson (Andrew Gifford) of Brighton, MA.; his pet Murray; and his former wife Mary Shomon. He is also survived by cousins, neighbors, and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester (140 Shore Dr, Worcester, MA 01605).
