She was predeceased by: her husband Robert B. McDermott; and her parents, Martin McDermott and Margaret McDermott (Boyle). She is survived by: her children, Patricia Chapman (Scott) of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Robert McDermott, Jr. (Cynthia) of Mercer, Maine and Timothy McDermott (Sharon) of Durham, Connecticut.; her sister Eileen Boyle Gerrits (Gerald) of The Villages; her sister-in-law Beverly McDermott Gallagher (Thomas Gallagher) of Worcester, Massachusetts.; her grandchildren, Meghan Miller (Ryan) of Centerton, Arkansas, Caitlin Campbell (Christopher) of Springdale, Arkansas, Kyle McDermott of Nashua, Timothy McDermott and Taylor McDermott of Durham; and her great grandchildren, Olivia Miller, Harper Miller and Ava Campbell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Miles Funeral Home (1158 Main St, Holden, MA 01520). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Columba Parish (12 Richards Ave, Paxton, MA 01612). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John's Cemetery - Worcester (260 Cambridge St, Worcester, MA 01603).
