It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel M. (Ferretti) Toomey of Peabody, Massachusetts, born in Revere, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Ferretti and Mary Ferretti (Lunardini); her siblings, Angela Arata (Charles) and Andrew Ferretti (Marcel); her husband Cornelius H. Toomey; her nieces, Carol Palmigiano and Elaine Krueger; her friends, Beatrice Furlong, Margaret White, June Silva and Anne Simmons; and her sister-in-law Mary Toomey.
She is survived by: her daughter Maria K. Gagnon (Joseph) of Peabody; her grandchildren, Andrea K. Gagnon of Peabody and Neil J. Gagnon (Kaitlyn) of Salem; and her nieces and nephews, Jane Bellosi, Andrea Ferretti, Linda Goodridge, Patrice Toomey and Esmee Waugh.
At Ethel's request, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
