She was predeceased by: her husband José M. Deserto; and her siblings, Palmira Crisostimo, Gaspar, Carlos and Antonio Abreu.
She is survived by: her children, Filomena Deserto of Peabody, MA, Sebastian Deserto of Chandler, AZ and Olalia Deserto (Kevin Pease) of Peabody, MA; her grandchildren, Cassandra Lipson (Ben) of Toronto Canada, Sarita Fawehinmi (Steve) of Manchester, NH and Spencer Summit of Peabody, MA; her great grandchildren, Sofiya, Sabrina and Selyna; and her sisters, Arminda, Assucena and Sue. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, North St, Salem immediately following Mass. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
