He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Houghton and Edna Houghton (Hanlin); his brother Charles Houghton; and his brother-in-law George Wildowski. He is survived by: his wife Linda Houghton (Shapiro) of Peabody; his sons, Scott Shoer (Gina) of Franklin and Andrew Shoer (Ali) of Manchester, NH; his grandchildren, Stella, Isaac, Oscar and Leo Shoer; and his siblings, Daniel Houghton (Jean) of Franklin, TN, Joseph Houghton (Margaret) of Marblehead, Edna Wildowski, Margaret Mack (John) of Attleboro and Carol Griffin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
