It is with sadness that the passing of Van Simopoulos of Peabody, Massachusetts is shared. Van, born on March 9, 1935, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simopoulos and Anastasia Simopoulos (Athanasiou); his brother Aristides (Carmen) of Malden; his daughters, Anne, Mary and Elaine; and his brother-in-law Arthur.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne of Peabody; his grandchildren, Tricia (Jeff) of Lynn, Robert (Nicole) of Kenmore, Washington and Michael (Alandra) of Peabody; his siblings-in-law, Antoinette (Louie) of Salem and Charlie (Eileen) of Peabody; and his friend Noel.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (54 S Common St, Lynn, MA 01902). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
