He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy J. Fouhey (Peterson); and his parents, James Fouhey and Dorothy Fouhey (Queenan). He is survived by: his children, Maura Eileen Fouhey of Brighton and William F. Fouhey, Jr. (Kara) of Swampscott; his grandchildren, Theodore, Hanna and Angel Baby Francis; his siblings, James Fouhey, Jr. (Agnes) of Salem and Marie Fouhey of Salem; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Shaw (William) of Peabody and Kimberly Kilcommons (Peter) of Peabody; his great-nieces and great-nephews, James Fouhey (Claire), Aaron Fouhey, Ashley Kilcommons (Elias), Kristen Kilcommons, Peter Kilcommons and Jennifer Doane; Olivia, Cameron, Erin Story (Brian), Brian, Kyla and Andrew Shaw (Sara). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
