With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Gatley Hooper Jr. of Peabody, Massachusetts, born in Portland, Maine, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Hooper and Margaret Hooper (Ahlers). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hooper (Cheeseman); and his children, David (Janet) of Pocasset, MA, Matthew of Rivervale, NJ and Nancy Cahill (Bill) of Wakefield, MA. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brooksby Village Care Fund, Philanthropy Office, 200 Brooksby Village Dr., Peabody MA 01960.
