He was predeceased by: his father Robert DeCosta. He is survived by: his mother Laila DeSimone (Tehranian); his father-in-law James; and his siblings, Lauren Lambert (Michael), Christine Boyer (Cody), Michael DeCosta (Alexandria), Stephen DeCosta and David DeCosta. He is also survived by four nieces and a nephew.

“You are the kindest soul I’ve met and we’ve had so much in common, I’ll never forget arriving to 7th grade orientation and seeing you put your bike on the bike rack instantly wanting to be your friend because I just thought everything about you was so awesome and pure, this is hard knowing that you aren’t here anymore but you are forever in my heart and in my soul, you’ve put out so much love into this world and into my life that I’ll never forget.
