He was predeceased by: his parents, Al Shaughnessy and Barbara Shaughnessy (Ferguson) of Braintree; and his wife Marianne Shaughnessy (Sampey) of Pembroke. He is survived by: his former wife Lyn Shaughnessy (Ruskell) of Hanover; his children, John of Quincy, Jamey (Rose) of Pembroke and Jill Gagnon (Allen) of Norwell; and his siblings, Kate (late Craig Low) of Duxbury, Alie Shaughnessy of Quincy, Tom and Marisa Shaughnessy (DiScipio) of Hingham.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buddy and Friends Animal Rescue, 275 Oak Street, Pembroke, MA 02359, a nonprofit organization very close to John's heart.
