He is survived by: his wife Marjorie (Sanford); his children, Catherine McCavanagh of Hingham, Christopher of Arlington and Virginia; his children-in-law, Patrick McCavanagh and Tanja; his grandchildren, Jane, Walter, Bryce and Wilhelmine; and his siblings, Marlene Matte, Loretta Barthel, David and Robert.
