She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert F. Bent and Catherine "Kay" Bent. She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Thayer Sr.; her children, Robert E. Thayer Jr. and Eryn L. Sherman; her grandson Jameson Robert Sherman; and her stepdaughter Jen Reardon. She is also survived by four brothers, three sisters, sixteen nieces and nephews, and sixteen great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to ovarian cancer or leukemia research, causes that were deeply meaningful to Maureen and her loved ones.
