Barbara Christine Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Christine Smith (Pittsfield, Massachusetts), who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur E. Smith III; her parents, William E. Jansen, Sr. and Jennie D. Jansen (DelSignore); and her nephew Jason C. Mayhew. She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Smith-Woosley (Thomas) of Broken Arrow; her grandchildren, Alexandria Shoemaker (Tyler), Corbyn Smith, Brooklyn and Collin Woosley; her siblings, Patricia J. Mayhew (David Hinkell), Wendy J. Casey (John), Willian E. Jansen, Jr. (Judy) of Pittsfield and John K. Jansen of Pittsfield; and her cousin Mary Louise Ferraro of Cambridge. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (222 Pecks Rd, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, 877 South Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 or in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street.
