We announce the death of Barry J. Clairmont of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 63. Barry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Barry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Barry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph N. Clairmont and Gladys A. Archambault Clairmont; his wife Linda M. Clairmont (Tyer); his son Austin Clairmont of Saugus; the mother of his children Cheryl Clairmont of Pittsfield; and his siblings, Carol Weissbrod (David) of Dalton, Diane Clairmont of Pittsfield and Brian Clairmont (Karen) of Pittsfield.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dery Funeral Home (54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Phelps Cancer Center, or the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery Funeral Home.
