We announce the death of Carolyn Ruth Rist in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 95. Carolyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lila Hammer and Ralph Hammer; her husband Emil Rist; and her children, Marlene, Brian, Glenn, Leslie and Lorraine Flynn.
She is survived by: her family, Judi Salvadori (Gary) of Benicia, CA, Gary Rist of Pittsfield, MA, Bradley Rist, Joan Lampro (Keith), Blair Rist (Donna), Lynn Huckle and Brenda Rosier (John).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dery Funeral Home (54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201). A prayer was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home Prayer Service. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:45 AM. A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pittsfield Cemetery (203 Wahconah St, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
