Deacon will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Though Deacon is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Deacon’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hager and Helen Sinclair Hager; and his brother George S. Hager. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (LeBlanc); and his children, John Hager (Laura), Lisa Leary (Robert), Stephen Hager (Asma Abbas) and David Hager (Katherine). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (191 Elm St, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to: "Berkshire County Habitat for Humanity" or "Association of Marian Fathers Stockbridge MA" and mailed to the Dery Funeral Home at 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
