Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Garrett for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Chestnut (Melideo) and Merlin Chestnut, Sr.; and his brother Dennis Chestnut. He is survived by: his siblings, Merlin Chestnut, Jr. of Vallejo, CA and Beverly Chestnut Morelli (Bruce) of Housatonic, MA; and his friend Shaun Delmolino. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Joseph's Cemetery-Pittsfield (222 Pecks Rd, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
