It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leda A. Melideo of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Tranquilli and Ida Curini Tranquilli; her husband Anthony; and her siblings, Faro and Diana Carlon.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Smith (Houghton) of Greenfield, MA, Joseph P. Melideo of Fultonville, NY, Anthony A. Melideo, Leda and Thomas A. Melideo (Gabriela) of Vienna, VA.; her grandchildren, Marissa Kelleher (Sean), Sophia and Samuel Melideo; and her great grandchildren, Callan and Nolan Kelleher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to "Berkshire Athenaeum," a place that reflected Leda's lifelong love of reading, or "Elder Services" whose programs supported her care at home.
