She was predeceased by: her parents, Francesco Ambruosi and Margherita Bono Ambruosi; her son Ernesto Bencivenga; her grandson Melvin R. Welch, III; and her siblings, Giuseppe (Pepe), Francesco (Ciccio), Nannena, Rosa and Maggiorina.
She is survived by: her children, Angela Garrity (Timothy) of Pittsfield, Edoardo Bencivenga, Jr. of Pittsfield and Sergio Bencivenga (Brooke) of Pittsfield; her grandchildren, Cameron, Mia, Dylan Bencivenga, Michael, Matthew Welch and Connor Garrity; her great grandchildren, Molly, Dylan, Jazmin, Monte and John; her siblings, Vittorio Ambruosi of Italy and Emilia DiGirolamo of Pittsfield; and her pet Misfit.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dery Funeral Home (54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the United Church of Christ (Formerly South Congregational Church) (110 South St, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made payable to either, County Ambulance or Action Ambulance and mailed to the funeral home.
