She was predeceased by: her former husband William L. Brites; and her son Richard Brites. She is survived by: her husband Billy; her sons, James Brites (Lauri) and David Brites (Melissa); and her grandchildren, Christopher, Kelsey, Katherine, Matthew, Mark and Genevieve.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 N. Beacon St, Watertown MA, 02472-2790.
