With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Ann (Knox) Viner of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 1, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence K. Knox and Verna M. Knox (Duquette); her siblings, Karen Bates and Michael Knox; her husbands, Edward Tyler Gromatski and William Chapman; and her cousin Leonora Zatorski.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Gromatski of Indialantic, FL, Joseph Tyler (Mala) of Pembroke, NH, Mark Chapman (Sonja) of Loveland, CO, Karen Decker (Glen) of Pittsfield, MA and Christine Chapman; her grandchildren, Beck, Morgan, Emma, Courtney, Cory, Carly and Michelle; her great grandchildren, Lewis, Austin and Colton; her close friends, Beverly Wilson and Dale Canino; her cousin Lee Ann Daly; and her sister-in-law Becky Knox.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home (5 Elm St, Pittsfield, MA 01201). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (414 North St, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in her name to Mount Greylock ERC or HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Flynn-Bencivenga Funeral Home.
