He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Sydney; and his sister Sheila Donath. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his son Jason Donath (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Brooke and Evan; and his siblings, Loel Holloway, Tina Montoya of New Egypt, NJ, Susan Freeman of Middle Island, NY and Carl Donath of Middle Island, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
