He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Luz and Madeleine Luz (Wrightington); and his brother Edward Luz. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Luz (Green); his children, Richard J. Luz Jr. (Regina) of Plymouth and Tamara Luz of Plymouth; his brother Robert Luz of Boston; his grandchildren, Angelise, Nathan Egan and Brenda Dunne; his sister-in-law Mary E. Luz; and his uncle Buddy (Bernard Wrightington). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451.
