He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick McClennan and Agnes McClennan; and his brother Larry. He is survived by: his wife Diane McClennan (Johnston); his children, Jarod Dobson McClennan (Katelyn) and Corey McClennan (Jamie); his grandchildren, Coleton and Teagen; and his siblings, Michelle Gleason (Leo), Tom and Jeannie Lacey (Thom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
