She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham Markell and Francis Markell (Poley); her brother Robert Markell (Joan); and her cousin Richard Levine. She is survived by: her niece Dr. Mariana Markell (Jody Blanco); her nephews, Denis Markell (Melissa Iwai) and Peter Blanco; and her cousins, Michael Levine (Juli), Suzanne Levine, Melissa Blacker, David Rynick, Howard and Karen Levine.
