He was predeceased by: his parents, David F. Mercier and Martha Alexander Mercier; and his sister Dianne Mercier of Quincy, MA.. He is survived by: his wife Geralyn Connor Mercier; his daughters, Carolyn Freeman (Billy) of Quincy, MA, April Segalla (Paul) of Hanover, MA and Adrienne Taylor of Quincy, MA.; his siblings, Richard Mercier of Lee, VA and Gail Barrette of Worcester, MA; his grandchildren, Paige, Justin Keenan, Patrick, Daniel Freeman, Owen, Cal Taylor and Kathyrn Segalla; and his great grandchildren, Abigail, Shawn and Madeline Cook.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations in David's memory be directed to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
