He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Cotter and Catherine Cotter; and his siblings, Margaret O'Neill, Lillian McKenna, Thomas Cotter and Robert Cotter.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Cotter; his children, Kathleen Horigan (late Thomas) of Scituate, Maureen Zeoli (late Raymond) of Bridgewater and Kevin Cotter (Colleen Burgess) of Cohasset; his sister-in-law Patricia Forsberg (late Roy); his great grandchildren, Kylie, Ryan, Maeve, Dylan, Andrew, Brody, Bailey, Lucy and Haley; his friends, Patricia and James Kilroy; Patrick Horigan, Brendan Horigan (Nicole), Jennifer Columbus (Michael), Jaclyn Pedro (Conor), Courtney Beach (Brian), Caitlin Haskins (Nicholas) and Colleen Allen (Jonathan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
