He is survived by: his wife Bette M. Mackey; his children, Edward Mackey (Susan), Heather Dockray (John) and Christopher Mackey (Patricia); his grandchildren, Kayla Chauvette (Robert), Shane F. Mackey, Conor F. Mackey, Courtney M. Mackey, Thomas Dockray and Andrew Dockray (Josie-Mae); his great grandchildren, Emma and Madison Chauvette; his siblings, George Mackey (Sandy), Mary McCormick (John), Nancy Langevin, Richard Mackey (Denise), Dan Mackey (Sylvia), William Mackey and Robert Mackey (Debbie); and his sisters-in-law, Francis David and Stephanie Culhane (Eddie Rezek).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home (785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 9:45 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (115 Crescent St, Quincy, MA 02169).
