James H. McAleavey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James H. McAleavey of Quincy, Massachusetts, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on March 7, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alberta McAleavey (Wecht) and Hugh McAleavey; his wife Kathleen McAleavey (O'Malley) of Quincy; his children, Jessica Matkosky (Jonathan) of Shrewsbury, Meagan Shaw (late Matthew) of Westborough, Mary Kate McAleavey of Quincy and Jamie McAleavey of Quincy; his siblings, Kathleen Flanagan (late Tony) and Thomas McAleavey (Julie) of Cranford, NJ.; his grandchildren, Torin McAleavey, Mason McAleavey, Avery Shaw, Nora Matkosky and Emma Matkosky; and his mother-in-law Mary L. (late Thomas O'Malley) of Quincy. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
