He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ransford Hemmings and Beatrice (Estabrooke); and his siblings, Barbara Hemmings Gray, Vivian Hemmings Dunning and Albert Hemmings.
He is survived by: his wife Rev. Esther Bowen; and his nephew Aaron Lawrence of Murfreesboro, TN..
