It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine M. Deta of Quincy, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Shields and Helen Shields; and her siblings, Helen Shields and Raymond Shields. She is survived by: her sons, Marco Deta (Palma) of Torino and Gerard Deta (Samantha) of Wasilla, AK.; her sister Anne Collins of Quincy; her granddaughters, Claudia, Ella and Emily; her nephew Christopher Collins (Thuy) of Canton; her great-niece Grace; and her great-nephew Owen Collins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Macular Degeneration Association.
