Marion M. Dunphy Obituary
We announce the death of Marion M. Dunphy of Quincy, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 95. Marion will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Bailer and Frederick Bailer; her husband Francis Dunphy; her sisters, Emily Lesile and Helen McKinnon; her son Mark Dunphy; her grandson Ian Dunphy; her niece Debra Leslie; and her nephew Eric Leslie.
She is survived by: her children, Michael (Joanne Dunphy), Kurt (Peggy Dunphy), Michelle (Robert Lynch), Kirsten (James Manning) and Boston. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Divine Mercy Parish at Saint Mary's Church (95 Crescent St, Quincy, MA 02169).
In lieu of flowers, Marion has requested that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Children's Boston, Office of Philanthropy, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
