It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Dennis of Quincy, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 24, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Fernandes and Geneva Nunes-Fernandes; her husband Daniel Dennis Sr.; and her siblings, Alfred, Manuel, Joseph Fernandes, Stella, Florence "Dolly" Fernandes and Theresa Lopes.

She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Jr. and Robert; her friends, Vineyard and Mary; and her sisters, Francis Santos of Bridgeport, CT and Priscilla Gonsalves of Preston, CT. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, siblings-in-law, and friends.

Some of her philanthropic activities included making regular charitable donations to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Easterseals, Toys for Tots, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and the National Audubon Society.

Although I moved to Florida a half dozen years ago, we always made it a point to have lunch each summer upon my return to the South Shore. She never complained and we always enjoyed a great giggle together. I loved her and I pray she is reunited in peace with her husband love Dan. Gwendolyn Bulmer”
