He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Hartnett (Shannon); his children, Patricia A. Mortimer (James) of Quincy, Michael J. Hartnett, Jr. (Janice) of Ridgefield, Wash, Sheila M. Sitler (Kevin) of Mansfield and Margaret M. Gresham (Donnie) of Pembroke; his grandchildren, Cara, Kevin, Annie, Ashlyn, Kellen, Owen, Kayleigh, Alexis and Colin; his sisters, Theresa Fitzgerald of Ireland, Nora Hanley of Ireland and Rita Ryan of Ireland; and his siblings-in-law, Marguerite Lynch of Pocasset, Claire Linehan of Dorchester and Rosemary Oberton of Fla. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
