He was predeceased by: his father Rabbi Leo Shubow. He is survived by: his close friend Nancy Teel; his children, Kimberly Burd (Jeffrey), Amanda Gold (Brad), David Shubow and Michael Shubow; his grandchildren, Sarah Burd, Samantha and Jack Gold; and his siblings, Dorothy Nelson (Jim) and Charles Shubow (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
