She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Oliver A. Helgren and Mildred Helgren (Gowdy); her husband Melvin H. Shattuck; her sister Marjorie G. Overell; and her daughters, Susan Lajoie of New Boston, NH, Gayle Shattuck (Mark Sewell) of Lexington, MA, Donna O'Connell (David) of Quincy, MA and Heather Shattuck (Luther Kamborian) of Rockland, MA.. She was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
