He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignazio Giammalvo and Agnes Giammalvo (Accardi); his wife Florence Giammalvo (Hewitt); his stepsons, Paul and William Merlino; and his siblings, Bernie, Anna, Theresa and Josephine.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Anthony Merlino (Michelle) of Falmouth, Michael Merlino of Dorchester and Hugh Merlino of Sandwich. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
