He is survived by: his children, Thomas M. Maloney III (Christina) of Quincy, Therese (Kole) of Franklin and Patrick (Lindsey) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Thomas L. Maloney, Marie G. "Maisie" Maloney and Benjamin W. Maloney; his siblings, Francis C. Maloney (Donna Ciampoli) of Quincy and Joseph P. Maloney of Quincy; and his siblings-in-law, Lawrence J. Prendeville (Carol) of Quincy and Loretta N. Prendeville of Quincy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many cousins, and friends.
