With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas R. Holmes of Quincy, Massachusetts, born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Holmes (Ewell) and George J. Holmes; his son Duane C. "Dewey" Holmes; Ellen T. Reade and Charles F. Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Susan E. Holmes (Pamplin); his grandchildren, Zachary T. Holmes, Nathan T. Holmes and Neely D. Finney-Holmes; his siblings-in-law, Beverly A. Barrett (J. Christopher) and Jane F. Fitzgibbon (late Thomas); his nieces and nephews, Thomas Reade, George Reade, Charles F. Holmes, Jr. and Thomas "T. J." Fitzgibbon; and his daughter-in-law Samantha A. Finney. He is also survived by four siblings.
