He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Synan and Catherine Synan (Foley); his former wife Mary Herald-Synan (Smith); and his brothers, James, John and Daniel.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sullivan; and his caregivers, Jackie and Erin. He is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home (785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM at the Keohane Funeral Home - Quincy (785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Church (44 School St, Quincy, MA 02169). A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pine Hill Cemetery (815 Willard St, Quincy, MA 02169).
